The Umpqua Shad came and went fast again this year. With all the high-water we did have a few good days. One of the best was when “Joy of Fishing” was here to film a TV show. Our goal was to catch Spring Chinook, Trophy Smallmouth Bass and Shad all on the same trip on the same water… mission accomplished! It should be a fantastic show so watch for it on FSN this winter.
We also fished Sturgeon, Pink Fin Perch and picked up a Starry Flounder to go with lots of Large Smallies! We will be fishing all Smallmouth until late August then we will begin fishing for Fall Chinook … and if you haven’t heard, this years run has been projected to be the best in years!
